CNN recently displayed an awesome example of how a typically boring industry (politics) spiced things up by incorporating social media into the mix during the recent GOP debate in New Hampshire. If you got a chance to watch it you probably noticed that there was a nice social media marketing presence in the air. Prior to Obama the internet played virtually no role in how politics where presented into the main stream. Today, social media and the digital space play a very large and important role in how politicians spread their online message and build their follower base.
